An honest look at what we raised, how we spent it, what worked, and what we're focusing on next year.
Every year we publish a plain-English summary of our finances alongside our full audited accounts. Trust matters more in our sector than almost any other — so here's the honest picture. All figures below are placeholders; replace with your audited data.
Thanks to thousands of supporters, we raised £[X]m this year — the majority from individual donations and monthly Guardians, with the remainder from grants, legacies and community fundraising.
Around 78p in every pound went directly to frontline animal care and rescue. The rest funded education and advocacy, fundraising to bring in future income, and the essential governance and admin that keeps us safe and accountable.
"We treat your donation as if it were our own — because in a very real sense, it belongs to the animals."
Monthly giving grew, which gave us the stability to take on more complex rescues. Our foster network expanded, reducing time animals spend in kennels.
Next year we're investing in earlier intervention — working with communities to prevent animals reaching crisis in the first place. You can read the detail in our full annual report.
